충남 아산시가 스마트농업 전문지식과 역량을 갖춘 미래형 청년 농업인 인재 양성을 위해 사업비 4억 원(도비 2억, 시비 2억)을 들여 염치읍 염성리 313번지에 ‘충남형 스마트팜 사관학교 교육장 신축 사업’을 본격 추진한다고 20일 밝혔다.

1008㎡ 규모의 고정식 온실(교육장)로 신축하게 되는 교육장에는 ICT융복합시설 기반 스마트팜 ,자동제어 양액기 수경재배 시스템 ,에너지 절감 전기 난방기 등 신기술을 투입하며, 고도화된 24시간 연중 생산시스템 재배 기술을 통해 유럽형 쌈 채소를 재배한다.

아산시는 이번 교육장 신축 사업을 통해 영농기반과 경험이 부족한 청년 농업인에게 시설농업 운영과 기술 습득 기회를 제공할 계획이며, 교육장은 청년 농업인에게 임대하는 형태로 운영한다. 한편 교육장 준공은 올해 6월 임대는 7월부터 시작될 예정이라고 전했다.
