오는 4월 총선 도전에 나선 국민의힘 대전동구 예비후보 한현택 전 대전동구청장이 중앙당 공천관리위원회(이하 공관위)의 윤창현 의원 단수공천 발표에 강력 반발하고 나섰다.

18일 보도자료를 통해 한 전 창장은  "한현택. 국민의힘 대전 동구공천 절대 승복할수 없다"며 공관위의 단수공천 승복에 대한 거부 의사를 분명히 밝혔다. 

한현택 전 청장은 이어 "재심요청, 제22대 국회의원 선거 국민의힘 대전 동구 공천은 컷오프에 대한 어떠한 말 한마디 없이 단수공천을 진행한 공관위는 말로는 공정한 공천, 시스템 공천이라고 표명해 놓고 자기들만의 리그, 깜깜이 공천을 자행한 것에 불과하다"고 공관위의 결정을 그들만의 리그라고 말했다. 

한 전 청장은 또 "정의 ․ 공정과 상식도 없고, 민주적 절차마저 사라진 이번 공천을 강력히 규탄하며, 컷오프 사유를 소상히 밝히고자 이의와 재심요청을 했다"고 밝혔다.

단수공청으로 후보자를 확정한 중앙당을 향해 "지난 2022년 지방선거에서도 불합리한 경선룰로 경선에서 이겼으나 정치신인 가산점 20% 의해 후보가 되지 못하였음에도 당의 결정에 승복하고, 당의 선거 승리를 위해 열심히 노력한 것이 이런 결과라면 누가 당을 위해 헌신할지 의문이 든다"고 한탄했다.

그는 이날 "한현택은 45년간의 공직생활로 동구를 위해 헌신하고, 동구민을 위해 재선 구청장으로 봉직하는 동안 지역발전 기여 및 구민들의 신임에 대한 지지를 다시 묻기 위해서라도 2월 20일까지 경선배제 사유와 재심요청에 대한 답변이 오지 않거나 답변이 객관적으로 납득이 가지 않는다면, 한현택을 지지해주시고, 함께 동구를 사랑하고 계시는 동구 주민여러분들의 뜻을 받들어 국민의힘에서 탈당하고, 국회의원 당선을 위해 끝까지 최선을 다해 선거에 임할 것" 중앙당에 최후 통첩을 하고, 탈당 후 총선 도전을 시사했다. 

한편 국민의힘 공관위는 대전지역 총선 후보자 가운데 동구 윤창현 의원과 유성을 선거구 이상민 의원을 단수 후보로 확정 발표하고, 유성갑 선거구는 윤소식-진동규 경선, 대덕구 선거구는 이석봉-박경호 예비후보간 경선을 확정한 가운데, 대전 중구와 서구갑,서구을 선거구는 확정하기 않았다.
