충남 아산시가 2024년 갑진년 시정 계획에 대해 ‘도전과 혁신’을 중심에 두고 운영하겠다고 발표했다. 

13일 오채환 기획경제국장은 언론브리핑을 열고 “민선8기 출범 이후 지난 500여 일은 새로운 아산으로 도약하는 과정이었다”고 자평하며 운영계획을 소개했다.

오 국장은 지난해 주요 성과로 참여자치위원회 출범, 주민자치회 전면 전환 등 참여자치의 실현 ,‘아트밸리 아산’ 고품격문화도시로의 도시브랜딩 ,대한민국 1호 온천도시 지정 ,삼성디스플레이의 4조 1천억 원 투자 및 디스플레이 분야 첨단전략산업 특화단지 지정 ,충무공 이순신의 도시로 인정받은 ‘아트밸리 아산 제1회 이순신 순국제전’의 성공적 개최 등을 꼽았다. 

이날 오 국장은 “2024년은 이 상승 기세를 이어 나가 ‘도전과 혁신’으로 주요 당면 과제들을 속도감 있게 추진해 대한민국 최고 도시로 비상하겠다”며 5대 정책방향을 소개했다.

오 국장이 발표한 5대 시정계획은 ‘아트밸리 아산’ 실현 집중, 대한민국 대표 글로벌 산업 경제도시로의 위상 이어가기, 시민 모두가 함께 누리는 행복 가득한 아산 만들기에 중점, 부권 거점 도시의 위상에 걸맞게 ‘도시다운 도시’의 품격을 갖추기와 시민의 자부심이 될 정주 환경 구축에 집중한다는 계획 등이다.
