대전시가 원도심 내 공실 건물을 활용한 ‘스마트팜’을 개장했다.

6일 오전 전국 최초 원도심 중구 대흥동 지역의 공실 건물을 활용한 스마트팜 기술 연구형 ‘대전팜’을 개장식에는 이장우 시장과 농림축산식품부 이정삼 스마트농업정책과장, 관계 전문가, 시민 등 100여 명이 참석했다.

품종개량, 생산 확대 등 기술 실증 및 연구·개발 목적의 스마트팜 기술연구형 대전팜은 ㈜쉘파스페이스(대표 윤좌문)에서 운영하고 중구 대흥동(중앙로 138번길 25)에 위치하고 있으며 지하 2층과 지상 8층에 구성되어 있으며 사용 면적은 398㎡이다.

지하 2층에는 4단으로 딸기 스마트팜 재배실과 7개의 의료용 대마재배실로 나눠져 있으며 양액재배시설, 한국기계연구원과 컴소시엄을 통한 공조장치 등의 첨단 시설이 설치되어 있다. 이 시설에서는 광원에 따른 딸기 재배와 의료용 대마를 연구 개발한다.

지상 8층에는 교육장, 홍보관, 인큐베이팅 시설, 커뮤니티 공간으로 구성되어 있다.

㈜쉘파스페이스(대표 윤좌문)는 유성구 용산동에 본사를 두고 있는 식물재배 조명 장치 쉘파라이트 등 개발한 스마트팜 솔루션 기업으로 CES 2020 혁신상 수상, 중소벤처기업부 혁신기업 국가대표 1000 선정되기도 하였다. 

개장식에서 이장우 대전시장은“앞으로 도시형 스마트팜 확산과 대전형 스마트 농업 첨단산업밸리를 조성하여 도시 재생과 농업 일자리 창출, 안전한 먹거리 공급에 최선의 노력을 다할 계획이다”라고 덧붙였다.
