대전시의회 송활섭 의원(산업건설위원회, 국민의힘, 대덕구2)이‘과학기술인 역할 및 협력 활성화 방안 마련 정책토론회’를 개최했다고 대전시의회가 밝혔다.

13일 대전시의회 소통실에서 개최한 이번 정책토론회는 고경력 과학자들이 국가 과학정책과 기술 자문에 머무르지 않고, 4차 산업혁명 시대 과학 인재 육성과 생활과학의 저변확대, 지역민들의 과학 문화 향유를 지원하자는 취지로 마련됐다.

이날 토론회에서는 전임출연연구기관장협의회 이주진 회장이 주제 발제를 맡았고, 과학기술연구연합회 강대임 부회장, 대전과학산업진흥원 구자현 원장, 전임출연연구기관장협의회 이종인 부회장, 대전테크노파크 임병화 지역산업육성실장, 대덕클럽 최용경 부회장이 참석해 과학기술인 역할 및 협력 활성화 방안 마련을 위한 다양한 의견을 함께 나눴다.

발제를 맡은 이주진 회장은 ‘과학수도 대전 발전을 위한 과학기술인 역할 활성화 방안’발표를 통해 고경력과학기술인에 대한 내용도 다뤘으며, 고경력과학기술인 참여 활성화를 위해서는 초중고 과학 강의와 중소벤처기업 기업향상(T-UP)사업 등이 포함된 고경력과학기술인 활용사업 확대 ,고경력과학기술인, 대전시민, 기업 간 과학기술 교육의 장이 필요하다고 피력했다. 

토론회 좌장을 맡은 송활섭 의원은 “과학도시 대전은 타 지역보다 우수한 과학 기술 인프라를 보유해 많은 과학기술인이 밀집해 있다”며, “대전이 과학기술인들의 역할과 협력 활성화 방안에 대한 심도있는 고민을 통해 타 시도보다 선도적인 역할을 해야 한다”고 말했다.
