한국교통안전공단이 27일 내포첨단산단에서 자동차 대체부품 산업의 활로를 여는 중심 기관인 자동차부품인증지원센터 개소식을 개최했다고 충남도가 밝혔다.

내포신도시 내 내포첨단산단에 건립된 자동차부품인증지원센터는 1만 5297㎡ 부지에 연면적 9006㎡ 규모로 조성됐으며, 시험동과 사무동 등 총 2동이다.

센터는 등화시험실·기계기구시험실·외장부품시험실·제원측정실 등 22개 실험실과 사무·관리 시설을 구축했으며, △외장부품 관려 14종 △등화부품 관련 11종 △기능성·소모성 부품 관련 33종 △제원 측정 지원 장비 5종 등 총 63종의 장비를 갖췄다.

센터는 자동차관리법 소관 자동차부품 관련 제도·산업 활성화를 목적으로 한국교통안전공단 자동차안전연구원 산하 기관으로 설립됐으며, 업체가 제작한 자동차 대체부품이 순정품과 동일한 품질을 확보했는지 평가하는 국가 공인 전문기관이다.

주요 사업은 △대체부품 인증 시험 △중소부품업체 대체부품 개발 지원 및 사업화 컨설팅 △원스톱 인증·지원 체계 구축을 통한 부품산업 활성화 기반 조성 △대체부품 운영 및 심사위원회를 통한 제도 관리 및 정책 지원 △자동차관리법 소관 자동차부품 관련 제도·정책 연구 등이다.

이와 함께 인증 내용과 다른 대체부품 판매 여부, 부정한 방법을 통한 인증 또는 인증 표시 여부, 부품안전기준에 적합하지 않은 방법으로 부품자기인증을 한 경우 등을 조사하는 사후 관리 업무도 맡는다.

개소식에 참석한 김태흠 충남지사는 “중소기업에게 일회성 현금을 지원하는 것보다 더 중요한 것이 마음껏 경쟁하고 커갈 수 있는 판을 짜주는 것”이라며 “자동차부품인증지원센터는 원스톱 인증·지원 체계를 구축해 중소기업의 성장을 지원하고 부품산업 생태계를 조성한다는 측면에서 큰 의미가 있다”라고 강조했다.

한편 이날 개소식에는 김태흠 지사와 권용복 한국교통안전공단 이사장, 홍성군수, 국회의원, 국토교통부 등 관계자 100여 명이 참석했다.
