대전시가 16일 대전시청에서 장학기금 기부자 704명의 이름을 등재한 명예의 전당 제막식을 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

대전청년내일재단(이사장 이장우) 주관으로 열린 이번 행사는 건전한 기부문화를 확산하고 기부자의 소중한 뜻을 오랫동안 기리기 위해 마련됐다. 

대전시청 1층에 마련된 장학기금 기부자 명예의 전당은 2009년부터 2023년 7월까지 장학기금 기부자 704명(중복 제외)의 이름이 등재되어 있다.

제막식은 하이트진로(주) 백정훈 충청강원권역본부장, (재)씨엔씨티마음에너지재단 황인규 이사장 등 장학기금 기부자와 장학금 수혜 학생 및 관계자가 참석한 가운데 개막선언, 감사인사, 기부명패 부착 등 간소하게 진행됐다.

이장우 시장은 “대전의 미래 인재를 위해 기부해 주신 분들을 기억하고 고마움을 표할 수 있는 공간이 마련된 것에 대해 기쁘게 생각한다”라면서 “앞으로도 많은 분이 관심을 갖고 장학기금 조성에 적극 동참해 주시기를 부탁드린다”라고 말했다. 

한편 대전청년내일재단 장학기금 조성액은 현재 59억 원으로 올해 연말까지 성취 장학생 등 총 548명을 선발해 5억 5,280만원의 장학금을 지급할 예정이다.
