대전시가 민간사업자 공모를 실시했던 ‘보문산 케이블카 및 전망타워 조성사업’의 민간사업자 재공모에 나섰다.

15일부터 12월 29일까지 재공모에 들어간 이번 사업은 당초 민간사업자가 케이블카 및 전망타워를 모두 설치하는 내용으로 10월 30일까지 민간사업자를 공모하였으나, 1개 업체만 단독으로 공모에 참여하면서 재공모에 들어갔다는 게 대전시의 설명이다.

대전시는 지난 공모에 참여한 해당 업체의 공모 내용을 사전 검토한 결과, 의무사항이었던 전망타워 건립에 대한 내용 없이 케이블카 설치에 대한 내용만 제안하여 사전 적격성 심사를 통과하지 못했다고 밝혔다.

대전시는 또 지난 8월 사업설명회에 참여했던 민간사업자들이 실제 공모에 참여하지 않은 이유를 분석한 결과, 현재 건설경기 및 자본시장 상황을 고려할 때 케이블카 및 전망타워를 동시에 추진하는 것에 대한 민간사업자의 부담이 많은 것으로 나타났다.

이에 따라 당초 의무사항이었던 전망타워 건립을 민간사업자의 자율 제안으로 변경하여 케이블카 설치부터 우선 추진하고, 전망타워 건립은 민간사업자의 제안 내용에 따라 순차적으로 추진할 계획이다.

전망타워 건립에 대한 부담을 줄여 케이블카 설치를 위해 많은 업체들이 참여하도록 유도하는 한편, 전망타워 건립을 제안할 경우 가점을 부여하는 방식으로 재공모가 이루어질 예정이다.
