충남도가 상습적으로 세금 납부를 기피한 고액 체납자 577명의 명단을 공개했다고 15일 밝혔다.

이번 공개 대상은 체납 발생일로부터 1년 이상 1000만 원 이상 체납자로 충남도는 이들 체납자들의 성명, 주소, 체납액 등을 공개했다.

이번 명단 공개 체납자 577명 중 지방세 체납자는 513명, 지방행정제재·부과금 체납자는 64명으로 체납액 규모는 총 234억 원으로 지방세 192억 원, 지방행정제재·부과금 42억 원이다.

신규 명단 공개자 중 지방세 체납 최고액은 법인 5억 원, 개인 6억 원이며, 지방행정제재·부과금의 경우 법인 3억 원, 개인 11억 원이다.

충남도 관계자는 “고액·상습 체납자 명단 공개는 체납자의 자진 납부를 유도하고 성실 납세자와의 형평성 제고 등 조세 정의를 실현하는 데 있다”라며 “명단 공개에 이어 가택 수색, 금융재산 압류, 공매 등 강력하고 엄정한 대응을 계속 이어갈 것”이라고 말했다.
