대전시교육감, 대전동·서부교육지원청 교육장 등을 비롯한 간부공무원 12명이 3일 관내 9개 학교(초 3교, 중 3교, 고 3교)를 대상으로 학교급식 특별점검을 실시했다고 대전시교육청이 밝혔다.

또한 급식에 사용하는 식재료는 품질관리기준을 준수하고 원산지 관리를 철저히 하도록 거듭 강조하였으며, 이른 아침부터 학생들의 안전한 급식을 위해 힘쓰는 급식관계자들의 노고를 격려했다.

대전시교육청에서는 급식 위생·안전관리 강화를 위해 전체 학교(학교급식법 대상 유치원 포함)를 대상으로 위생·안전점검 및 운영평가를 실시하고, 관계자 교육과 컨설팅도 병행하고 있다.
