대전교사노동조합(위원장 이윤경)과 초등교사노동조합(위원장 정수경)이 학부모의 악성 민원에 시달리다 40대의 생을 마감한 故 대전 용산초등학교 교사와 직접적인 연관이 있는 학부모와 당시 학교장을 유족의 이름으로 경찰에 고소한다고 밝혔다.

5일 노조는 대전 유성구 교사 유족측 변호사와 함께 오전 11시 30분 대전경찰청 정문 앞에서 악성 민원에 대한 정당한 처벌과 숨진 교사의 순직인정을 촉구하는  '故 대전 유성구 교사 가해자 고소 관련 기자회견'을 열고, 해당 교사가 아동학대 무혐의 처분을 받은 이후에도 이어진 악성 민원을 제기한 학부모 등에 대해 고소를 한다고 밝혔다.

이날 대전경찰청 앞에서 기자회견문을 낭독하고 고소장을 제출하기에 앞서 이들 노조는 기자회견문을 통해 "故 대전 유성구 교사 사망사건, 가해자들을 고소하여 책임을 묻겠다"면서 가해자들의 처벌 필요성을 강력히 주장했다.

기자회견문에서 노조는 "故 용산초 선생님이 우리 곁을 떠나가신 지 어느새 한 달이 되어 갑니다. 얼마 전 발표된 대전 교육청의 감사 발표에 따르면 고인에 대한 교육활동 침해행위 사실이 확인되었으며, 가해 학부모 2인에 대한 수사 의뢰, 학교 관리자에 대한 징계 조치가 예정되어 있습니다"며 교육청 차원의 조치예정을 언급했다.  

노조는 대전교육청의 조치가 정당한 교육활동을 지속적으로 방해받으며, 학폭 가해자, 아동폭력 가해자라는 고통스러운 이름을 달고 살았던 고인에 대한 명예회복의 시작일 뿐이라고 의미를 부여했다.

이어진 회견문에서 노조는 "우리는 오늘, 고인을 죽음으로 몰아간 가해 학부모들에 대해 공무집행방해, 사자명예훼손, 명예훼손, 강요 및 협박 등의 죄목으로 고소할 것"이라고 밝히고 "그리고 정작 보호해야 할 학교폭력 피해자는 방치하고, 고인의 정당한 교육활동을 지켜 주기는커녕, 민원에 휘둘려 교실 붕괴를 부추긴 학교 관리자들을 직권남용죄 및 직무유기죄로 고소함으로써 책임을 묻고자 한다"면서 당시 학교 관리자인 학교장에 대해서도 법적 책임을 물을 것임을 분명히 했다.  

이어 "내 자녀만을 위한 이기심으로 교사의 올바른 교육활동을 방해하고 악의적 민원을 넣으며 고인을 모욕하는 언사를 지속하는 행위를 더 이상 두고 보지 않겠다"고 밝힌 노조는 "도움을 청하는 교사를 외면하고 정상적인 교육활동보다 본인의 안위를 우선으로 한 학교와 관리자의 태만을 그냥 두고보지 않겠다"고 법적 조치를 할 뜻임을 분명히 했다.

노조는 "이번 고소는 유족 이름으로 진행되지만, 전국 50만 교사가 함께 할 것입니다. 이를 통해 악성 민원을 넣는 학부모와 보신주의로 일관하는 관리자들에게 경종을 울리게 되길 기대합니다. 수사 당국의 엄중하고 정의로운 진상규명을 당부드린다"며 수사기관의 엄정한 수사를 요청했다.
