대전교통공사가 전량 수입에 의존하고 있는 트램 차량 핵심부품인 관절장치를 국토교통부 국가 R&D연구로 개발하여 성능검증을 위해 공사 외삼차량기지에서 실제 트램을 이용한 주행시험을 한다고 밝혔다.

대전에서 트램차량 운행은 이번이 처음으로 주행시험을 위해 공사에서는 3모듈로 이루어진 트램차량을 9월14일~15일에 걸쳐 외삼차량기지에 입고하였다.

또한, 오는 10월부터 외삼기지 내에 별도의 급곡선 시험선을 구축하여 2024년 9월까지 5,000Km이상의 실제 주행을 통해 관절장치의 차량하중 지탱 성능과 급곡선 구간 안정성 및 신뢰성을 검증하게 된다.

이번 구축되는 트램 시험설비는 향후 차량제작사, 지자체의 트램 부품 및 트램운행 시험에도 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

Daejeon Transportation Corporation announced that it will develop joint devices, a core part of tram vehicles that rely entirely on imports, through national R&D research by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and conduct driving tests using actual trams at the corporation's Oesam vehicle base to verify performance.

This is the first time that a tram vehicle has been operated in Daejeon. For driving tests, the corporation received a tram vehicle consisting of three modules at the Oesam Vehicle Base from September 14th to 15th.
