세종시가 ‘택시우선배차 시범사업’을 추진해 시민들의 이용 편의를 높인다.

세종시는 일부 지역으로 택시공급이 집중되는 문제를 해소하고 시민 편의를 증진하기 위해 오는 12월 말까지 ‘택시우선배차 시범사업’을 추진한다고 13일 밝혔다. 

‘택시우선배차 시범사업’은 시민이 우선 배차지역에서 택시를 이용할 때 택시를 강제 배차하고, 강제 배차를 수용한 택시기사에게 건당 3000원의 인센티브를 지급하는 방식이다.

우선 배차지역은 반곡동, 소담동, 보람동, 한솔동, 새롬동, 다정동, 종촌동, 고운동, 아름동, 해밀동, 집현동 등 11개 지역이 선정됐다.

이곳은 택시운행정보시스템(TIMS)의 자료를 분석하여 승차건수 점유율 5% 미만 지역, 주민 1인당 택시평균 이용건수(0.43건) 이하 지역 및 마을택시 미운행지역이다.

세종시는 택시업계와 협의를 통해 이번 시범기간 중 동별로 하루 10건을 우선배차에 투입하며, 시범사업 종료 후 효과를 검토해 우선배차 사업 지속 및 확대 여부를 결정할 계획이다.

세종시는 이번 시범사업으로 택시가 부족한 지역에 분산 배치함으로써 보다 편리한 택시 서비스를 시민에게 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
