충남도의회가 교권 보호를 위한 관련 법안 개정을 촉구했다.  

충남도의회가 7일 제347회 임시회 제1차 본회에서 김선태 의원(천안10·더불어민주당)이 대표 발의한 ‘교권 보호를 위한 관련 법안 개정 촉구 건의안’을  채택하고 교권 보호를 위한 관련 법안 개정을 촉구했다.  

건의안을 발의한 김 의원은 “최근 서이초 교사의 극단적 선택 이후 교사들이 연달아 목숨을 끊은 사실이 알려지며 교권 보호를 위한 제도 개선의 목소리가 높아지고 있다”고 건의안 발의 취지를 설명했다.

김 의원은 “지난 4일은 공교육 멈춤의 날이었다. 교사의 정당한 교육활동이 법과 제도에 의해 충분히 보장받지 못하며 교사를 향한 무례하고 과도한 요구와 민원이 도를 넘는 수준”이라고 문제를 제기했다.
