대전시의회 복지환경위원회(이하 복환위, 위원장 민경배)가 현장을 찾아 의정활동을 펼쳤다.

이하 복환위는 7일 더퍼리근린공원 조성지, 대동하늘공원, 만인산자연휴양림을 잇따라 방문하여 현장을 점검했다. 

먼저 더퍼리근린공원 조성지와 대동하늘공원을 방문하여 조성지 현장을 둘러본 복환위원들은 그 동안의 추진실적 및 향후계획에 대한 업무보고를 청취했다. 

위원들은 동구가 타구에 비해 시민 1인당 공원면적이 가장 적다고 언급하고 공원 조성시 시민들이 안전하고 편안하게 쉬고 여가를 보낼 수 있는 품격높은 공원조성에 만전을 다해 줄 것을 당부했다.

이어 만인산자연휴양림을 방문하여 보고를 청취하고 트리하우스 현장 등을 둘러보며 시설을 점검했다. 위원들은 트리하우스, 숲속자연탐방로 및 숲속 쉼터 등 주요시설을 체계적으로 잘 조성하여 체류형 숲 휴양단지로 대전시민 뿐만 아니라 외지인들이 즐겨 찾는 대전의 명소로 만드는데 적극적으로 노력해줄 것을 주문했다.

민경배 복지환경위원장은 “앞으로도 복지환경위원회는 주요현안을 지속적으로 방문하여 현장에서 답을 찾는 현장의정 활동을 지속적으로 추진할 것”이라며, “대전시민을 대변하고 복리증진에 기여하는 시민중심의 열심히 일하는 의회가 되도록 최선을 다해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
