충남도의회 ‘취약계층을 위한 문화복지에 관한 연구모임’(대표 양경모)이 28일 천안교육지원청에서 제2차 회의 및 ‘충남 지역 저소득층을 위한 문화복지관광 제고 방안 연구’ 용역 중간보고회를 개최하고, 취약계층에 대한 문화복지 지원 확대 필요성을 논의했다.

충남도의회는 이날 회의에서 충남 저소득층의 문화복지관광 경험과 욕구 조사 실시 결과에 따른 분석자료를 공유하고, 응답자의 관광 욕구와 경험, 충남 문화누리카드 사용 경험에 대한 만족도 결과에 대한 논의의 시간을 가졌다. 

이날 실시한 연구용역 중간보고회에서는 나사렛대학교 산학협력단이 충남 저소득층을 대상으로 실시한 문화복지관광 실태 및 사례조사를 바탕으로 전문가 의견을 반영한 중간 연구 결과를 발표했다. 

협력단은 조사 대상자들의 대다수가 경제적 취약성에도 불구하고 일상에서 관광(여행)프로그램의 필요성을 매우 높게 인식하고 있다는 것을 확인하고, 이들을 위한 관광 지원 강화 및 문화누리카드 사용 확대 등 현실적인 대책 마련이 필요함을 강조했다. 

양경모 의원(천안11·국민의힘)은 “이번 연구용역을 통해 경제적 취약계층의 문화복지 수요를 확인하고, 현장 대상자들과 전문가들의 의견을 반영하고자 했다”며 “설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 충남의 저소득층에 대한 문화복지 지원 정책의 토대를 강화하여 적극적이고 현실적인 문화복지 지원책을 제시하겠다”고 밝혔다.

연구모임은 연구용역 결과를 반영해 충남의 취약계층 문화복지 지원 및 정책의 기초로 삼을 예정이며 9월 중 최종보고회를 개최할 계획이다.
