세종시가 전국 광역시 최초로 농업인 수당을 지급했다고 20일 밝혔다. 

지난 18일 최민호 세종시장은 관내 농업인 3명을 초청해 농업인 수당을 직접 전달했다. 

농업인 수당은 농촌 소멸을 방지하고 농업의 공익적 가치를 높이기 위해  마련됐으며, 농가당 연 1회씩 60만 원의 지역화폐를 지급한다. 

대상자는 전년도 국가공익직불금 수령자이면서 3년 이상 계속 세종시 거주 ,3년 이상 계속 농업경영체에 등록된 자여야 하며, 농지 소재지가 관내 농지여야 한다. 

다만, 동 거주자와 읍면 거주자 간 지급 요건이 다르고, 체납자 및 공무원, 공공기관 임직원 등은 지급 대상에서 제외된다.

부부의 경우 주소와 농업경영을 독립하더라도 1명에게만 지급된다.

한편, 농업인 수당은 내달 8일까지 전년도 국가공익직불금을 신청한 읍면행정복지센터에서 신청할 수 있다.
