국립공주대학교 한민족교육문화원 재외동포 청소년 연수생들이 31일 공주시 수해 현장을 찾아 피해복구 활동 및 환경정화활동을 실시했다고 공주대가 밝혔다.

이날 피해복구 활동은 재외동포 연수생 40여명과 교직원이 참여해 이번 폭우로 수해를 입은 재민천 수해현장에서 수해복구 지원 활동에 힘을 보탰다.

국립공주대학교에서 연수 중인 재외동포 청소년들은 교육부 국립국제교육원(원장 류혜숙)이 주최하는 ‘2023 재외동포 국내교육과정(K-HED)’의 국비초청 장학생들로 국립공주대학교 한민족교육문화원(원장 장창기)에서 교육을 받고 있다.

‘재외동포 국내교육과정’는 1962년부터 60여년의 역사를 가진 재외동포 국내초청연수 프로그램으로 5개월 과정의 ‘대학수학준비과정’과 6주 과정의 ‘한국이해과정’, 온라인으로 이루어지는 ‘원격교육과정’을 운영하고 있다. 국립공주대학교는 2009년에 본 사업을 위탁받아 15년째 운영 중이며 750만 재외동포들의 한민족 정체성 함양과 모국이해를 위한 각종 프로그램을 제공하고 있다.
