대전시의회 여야 의원들이 대치를 하면서 시민을 의식하지 않은 한심한 작태라는 지적이 일고 있다.

한편에서는 선거때 표를 호소하던 초심은 어디로 가고,  시민은 없고 당에만 충성하는 못된 정치를 배워가고 있는것 같아 한심스럽다는 지적도 나오고 있다.

이같은 지적이 나오는데는 19일부터 민주당 소속 대전시의원들이 임시회 보이콧을 이유로 의정활동을 뒤로 하고 시의회 1층 로비에서 농성에 들어갔고, 이에 질세라 국민의힘 의원들이 집단으로 성명서를 발표하면서 여야 의원들이 볼성사나운 모습을 시민들에게 보여주면서 시의회에 정치는 없다는 지적이다.

먼저 조원휘(유성구3)‧이금선(유성구4)‧송대윤(유성구2)‧김민숙(비례) 의원 등 민주당 의원들은 소속 의원이 발의한 조례안이 상임위원회 안건으로 상정 되지 않자 다수당의 횡포,의회 독재 등 격앙된 피켓을 들고 농성에 들어갔다.

이날 농성장에는 대전시당위원장 황운하 국회의원까지 가세하면서 농성을 벌이고 있는 민주당 의원들에게 힘을 더했다.

황 의원은 이날 "상대당의 논평이나 현수막을 갖고 사과를 요구하는 것에 대해서는 답변할 가치가 없는 일이며 이런 터무니없는 이유로 시의원들의 조례 제정 권한을 원천 봉쇄하는 몰상식한 일이다"고 말해 국민의힘 의원들을 비판했다.

황 의원의 이날 발언은 더불어민주당 대전시당이 거리 현수막으로 내건 "시의원인가? 업자인가?" 현수막 문구를 가지고 현 사태가 초래된 것을 의식한 것으로 보인다.

국민의힘 의원들은 해당 문구를 문제 삼으면서 민주당 의원들의 입법활동에 협조를 하지 않겠다는 당론을 정했고, 조례안 상임위 상정을 막았다.

이에 격분한 민주당 의원들이 이날부터 무기한 농성에 돌입 한 것.

국민의힘 소속 시의원들도 이날 의회 앞에서 성명을 발표하고 반발하고 나섰다.

국민의힘 의원들은 "더불어민주당 대전시당은 현수막을 통해 국민의힘 18명 시의원 모두를 의원 본분을 지키지 않고 이권을 개입하는 업자하는 오명을 씌웠다"며 "현수막을 통해 선전 선동할 것이 아니라 검찰에 고발해 사실관계를 명백히 밝히기 바란다"고 검찰 고발을 주장했다.

이들은 성명을 통해 “더불어민주당 대전시당이 지방자치의 근본을 훼손.오염시키면서 대전시의회를 중앙정치의 하수인으로 정치논쟁의 장으로 전락시키고 있다”고 비판했다.

이어 “사실이 입중되지 않았음에도 사실인것처럼 유포해 국민의힘 대전시의원들의 명예를 실추시키고 훼손한 것을 사과하고 사죄하라”고 촉구했다.

하지만 대전시의회 여야 대치에 대한 시선은 곱지않다.

대전참여자치시민연대는 이번 사태에 대해 국민의힘 대전시의원들에게 책임이 있다며 조속한 사태 해결을 촉구했다.

한편 대전시의회 국민의힘 원내대표 김선광 의원은 "상임위가 끝나고 민주당 원내대표와 문제해결을 위한 대회를 이어갈 예정“ 이라고 말해 사태 해결을 위해 나설 뜻을 내보였다.
