사회지도층을 중심으로 마약류 퇴치 운동이 벌어지고 있는 가운데 대전경찰청이 31일 대전경찰청에서 대전시장, 대전교육감, 대전자치위원장, 경우회장, 경찰발전위원장, 안보자문협의회장, 명예총경 김성환(배우), 가수 박상민 등 60 여명이 참여한 가운데 마약 근절을 위한 유관기관 합동 결의대회를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 합동 결의대회는 마약 폐해의 심각성과 범죄의 경각심을 고취하고,  시청, 교육청 등 유관기관이 모두 합심하여‘마약 없는 안전한 대전’을 만들어 가자는 의미로 다함께 결의를 다지기 위해 마련되었다.  

대전경찰청은 마약 예방과 근절을 위해 대전경찰청장이 1호로 참여한 NO EXIT’릴레이 캠페인 외에도 청소년과 외국인들을 대상으로 한 마약예방 리플릿을 제작·배포하며 마약예방 홍보 활동을 펼치는 한편, 대형 클럽 대상 유관기관 합동 점검·단속 등도 지속적으로 병행하고 있다고 밝혔다.  

정용근 대전경찰청장은‘마약 없는 안전한 대전을 만들기 위해 대전경찰의 모든 역량을 집결하여 총력대응하고 있다며 유관기관은 물론 대전 시민들의 관심과 협력을 부탁드린다.’고 당부하였다.
