국민의힘 대전시당이 24일 민선 8기 대전시정 1년 성과와 과제를 집중 조명하는 정책토론회를 개최했다.

이날 토론회는 대전시정의 지난 1년의 성과를 점검하고, 향후 보완점과 과제에 대해 논의하는 시간이 됐다. 

24일 오전 10시 30분 국민의힘 대전시당에서 개최된 토론회에는 이은권 국민의힘 대전시당 위원장, 윤창현 국회의원(대전 동구), 조수연 위원장(대전 서구갑), 양홍규 위원장(대전 서구을) 등 국민의힘 대전시당 주요당직자 등이 60여 명이 참석하여 전문가들의 비평을 듣고, 대전 발전과 시민생활 개선을 위한 방안에 대하여 고민하였음

토론회에서 발제를 맡은 유병로 한밭대 교수는“대통령 취임 1년, 시장 취임 1년 여 만에 기대 이상의 성과를 보이기 시작하였다. 특히 방위사업청 이전, 나노‧반도체 국가산단 선정, 트램 2호선 예산협의 완료 등에서 가시적인 성과가 보이고 있다”고 평가했다.

이준건 교수(행정학 박사, 갈등관리연구소장)는 이장우 시장 취임 이후 성과에 대하여 긍정적으로 평가하면서“공약을 안착시키기 위해서는 대전시민들 모두의 결합된 힘과 유연한 전략, 올바른 홍보와 정확한 평가가 중요하다”고 조언했다.

오늘 토론회에서는 긍정적인 평가 뿐 아니라, 앞으로 보완되어야 할 부분에 대한 제안도 이어졌다.

배용국 한밭대 교수는 나노‧반도체 산단 지정과 관련된 보완점에 대하여 제안했다.

배용국 교수는“나노‧반도체 산단 지정 등 성과를 보이고 있으나, 아직은 명확한 그림이 보이지 않는다. 영구적 발전과 안착을 위한 콘텐츠가 보강되어야 한다”고 지적하고, 또한 산하기관의 혁신성‧전문성 제고를 위한 대전시청의 노력도 주문했다.

언론인으로 토론회에 참석한 중도일보 송익준 정치부 차장은“이장우 시장의 강력한 추진력에 대하여 인정한다. 다만, 공약이 성공하려면 실행력이 과제이다. 결국 당의 뒷받침이 필요하다. 당정협의회가 실질적으로 역할을 할 수 있어야 한다. 대전시가 행정을 맡고, 시당이 정치를 맡는 역할 분담 구조가 정착되어야 한다”라고 제안했다.

송익준 차장은 또 대전시장의 통합적 리더십과 폭 넓은 소통 그리고 공약성공을 위한 대전시 역량의 선택과 집중을 강조하는 등 쓴소리도 아끼지 않았다.

토론회를 마친 이은권 시당위원장은“오늘 토론회에서 긍정적인 평가 뿐 아니라, 시정에 대한 애정 어린 비판들도 함께 있었다. 홍보해야 할 것에 대해서는 적극적으로 홍보하고, 지적된 부분들에 대해서는 보완될 수 있도록 노력하여 대전발전과 시민생활 개선을 위해 국민의힘이 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
