국립공주대학교(총장 원성수)가 키르기스스탄 교육부와 특수교육 분야 교육 협력 강화에 나선다.

이를 위해 공주대학교는 23일 공적개발원조(ODA) 사업으로 키르기스스탄 교육부(장관 카니베크 이마날리예프)와 특수교육 및 통합 교육 전문가 양성 프로그램을 위한 협약을 맺었다고 밝혔다.

공주대학교에 따르면 공적개발원조 사업은 키르기스스탄 교육부 및 아라바에바 대학, 비슈케크 교육청과의 협약으로 첫 삽이 뜨게 되었으며, 기존의 학술 교류를 넘어 해외 교육과정 수출 및 국가 단위 교원 양성 협력을 골자로 하고 있다.

공주대학교와 키르기스스탄 한국문화원, 키르키스스탄 교육부의 오랜 협력을 통해 이루어지게 된 이번 협약은, 공주대를 통해 우리나라의 우수한 교원양성 역량을 세계와 함께 공유할 수 있는 장이 될 것으로 보인다.

공주대학교 원성수 총장은 “국가의 핵심 가치 수호와 국가 발전의 주요 인재 양성의 기능을 수행했던 그간의 공주대의 경험이 이제 인류 공영을 위한 밑거름으로 자리잡을 수 있게 되었다.”며 협약의 의의를 전했다.
