허태정 대전시장이 국민의힘 이준석 대표가 항공우주청 경남 입지 발언을 한 윤석열 후보의 발언을 '용기'라고 두둔한 것에 불쾌한 감정을 나타냈다.

허 시장은 지난 28일 밤 자신의 페이스북에 "제1야당의 대표가 대전시민을 분노케 합니다"라는 글을 올려 이준석 대표의 항공우주청 경남 입지 발언 두둔에 불편한 심기를 드러냈다.

허 시장은 이 대표의 발언에 "우주청을 경남에 설치하겠다는 야당 대선후보의 공약이 용기라고 말합니다"고 말하고 "이 공약은 행정수도 이전에 따른 행정기관 배치 원칙을 훼손하겠다는 선언입이다"라면서 이 대표의 발언이 원칙 훼손이라고 강조했다.

그러면서 "(이 대표의 발언은)용기가 아니라 충청권을 홀대하겠다는 선언"이라면서 충청권 홀대라고 표현했다.

허 시장은 이 대표의 발언이 모순이 있다는 점도 분명히 했다.

그는 "청(廳) 단위 행정기관은 대전, 부(部) 단위 행정기관은 세종이라는 행정수도 이전에 따른 행정기관 배치 원칙은 반드시 지켜져야 한다"고 원칙을 강조했다.
