‘아이 키우기 좋은 충남’을 상징하는 대표 모델이 될 ‘충청권 유일’ 공공산후조리원이 24일 개원식과 함께 문을 열었다.

이번에 문을 연 홍성 공공산후조리원은 2주간 시범운영 기간을 거쳐 2월 7일부터 정식으로 운영될 예정이다. 

공공산후조리원은 민선 7기 도지사 공약사항으로, 2020년 시군 공모를 통해 홍성군을 설립 대상지로 선정했다.

이후 도는 지난해 1월부터 12월까지 국비 4억 원, 도비 2억 원, 군비 3억 8000만 원 등 총 9억 8000만 원을 투입해 지상1층 연면적 580㎡ 규모의 공공산후조리원 설치(리모델링)를 마쳤다.

도민 누구나 이용할 수 있으며, 이용요금은 민간산후조리원의 70-80% 수준인 2주 기준 182만 원이다. 수급자, 장애인, 셋째 이상 등은 이용료의 10-50%를 추가로 감면 받을 수 있다.

도와 홍성군은 공공산후조리원 운영이 원활히 추진될 수 있도록 전문가로 구성된 공공산후조리원 협의회 운영과 우수기관 벤치마킹을 통해 전문적인 산후조리 서비스를 제공한다는 방침이다.

도내 15개 시군 중 천안, 공주, 아산, 서산, 당진 등 5곳에만 산후조리원이 있는 상황이었던 만큼 이번 홍성 공공산후조리원 개원은 더 큰 의미가 있다.
