The Korea Fusion Energy Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Nuclear Fusion Research Institute) selected Jeon Young-moo as the Senior Researcher for the 'Proud KFE Person Award' awarded to employees who made outstanding contributions to the development of the research institute during the year of 2021 and held it on the 3rd (Mon). The award was announced at the opening ceremony.

For the ‘Proud KFE Person Award’, employees with outstanding research and work achievements for one year are recommended as candidates, and the final decision is made through voting for all employees and deliberation by the HR committee.

Senior Researcher Young-moo Jeon leads the development of high-performance plasma operation mode and scenario, which is the main task for realizing nuclear fusion energy, laying the foundation for the success of the Korean artificial solar KSTAR's 100 million-degree ultra-high-temperature plasma 30 seconds continuous operation and expanding the diversity of plasma physics research. contributed to

In addition, it was highly praised for enabling sophisticated plasma physics experiments by improving the stability and accuracy of the control system, such as establishing a real-time plasma position and shape control system through the development of a new algorithm.

Senior Researcher Young-moo Jeon majored in atomic and nuclear engineering at Seoul National University.
