대전시에서 최근 5년간 창업을 한 기업 수가 26.6% 증가한 것으로 나타났고, 5년 생존율은 29.7%로 나타났다.

 

26.6% 증가율은 비수도권에서는 가장 높은 창업률을 기록한 수치다.

 

이 같은 수치는 대전시가 지난 6월부터 지역 혁신창업의 동향 분석과 시 창업지원 정책에 대한 인식 조사를 통해 기존 사업의 성과와 개선점을 도출하는 연구용역을 지난달까지 실시한 결과에서 나타났다.

 

이번 용역은 지난 6월부터 11월까지 진행되었으며, 창업하기 좋은 도시 조성을 본격화하고 창업지원 정책의 가이드라인을 마련하기 위해 실시됐다.

 

용역을 수행한 대전세종연구원의 분석 결과에 따르면, 2020년 한해 동안 16개 창업지원사업에 총 100억 원(시비 71억 원)이 403개 기업에 투입되었다.

 

지원받은 기업은 총 고용 창출인원 1,016명, 총 매출 창출액 1,734억, 수출액 54억, 투자유치 금액 1,084억, 사업을 통해 확보된 지적재산권 537개 등의 성과를 냈으며, 창업지원 사업에 대한 만족도는 평균 93.5%로 매우 높게 나타났다.
