[Daedunsan Provincial Park expands nature-friendly ecological trails]

The Forest Resources Research Institute of Chungcheongnam-do announced on the 26th that it has created a “nature-friendly ecological trail” in the area of the administrative reservoir in Jinsan-myeon, Geumsan-gun, where people with disabilities, the elderly, and children can safely and comfortably use.

According to the Provincial Forest Resources Research Institute, around the administrative reservoir of Daedunsan Provincial Park, there was a risk factor for accidents, such as visitors often walking through sections without pedestrian paths.

Against this backdrop, the Forest Resources Research Institute reorganized the visiting environment and created an ecological trail to preserve the park landscape and ensure the safety of users after consulting with experts and related organizations.

This ecological trail development project has been carried out with a total project cost of 1.3 billion won since last year to provide a walking environment using the waterfront resources of the administrative reservoir.

The total length of the deck road created is 810m, and when the project is completed by next year, it is expected that anyone will be able to enjoy a walk without discrimination on the 1km-long trekking road that encompasses the waterside and the cherry tree road.
