충남도가 9일 ‘자랑스러운 충남인상’ 수상자를 선정했다.

충남도는 공적심사위원회를 열고, 김재일 단국대병원 원장 등 6명을 올해 수상자로 선정했다고 밝혔다.

자랑스러운 충남인상은 도내 곳곳에서 각종 활동을 통해 도민 자긍심을 높인 도 내외 인물에게 수여하는 충남 최고 영예의 상이다.

올해 수상자는 △김재일 원장 △명위진 파안장학문화재단 이사장 △손정열 배방행복키움추진단 단장 △이명범 우리동명 회장 △정금량 동금성반점 대표 △최기복 충청효교육원 원장 등이다.

김재일 원장은 선별진료소 설치·운영, 의료진 파견, 생활치료센터 지원, 백신 예방접종 등 코로나19 예방 및 확산 방지를 위해 앞장서 온 점을 인정받았다.

명위진 이사장은 기업 경영을 통해 일궈 온 사재를 출연해 두 개의 장학재단을 설립, 매년 고향 청양에서 장학생을 선발해 장학금을 지급하고 있다.

명 이사장은 또 의료 사각지대인 청양에 의료장비를 지원하기도 했다.

손정열 단장은 1997년 배방읍 새마을지도자를 시작으로 배방읍 이장, 주민자치위원 등 다양한 사회활동을 하며 지역사회 발전을 위해 노력해왔다.
 
예산 출신인 이명범 회장은 1977년 동명치과재료산업사를 창립, 수입에 의존해 온 치과재료 국산화에 성공해 전국 1만 4000여 치과에 공급하며 대한민국 치과재료산업을 이끌고 있다.
 
이 회장은 특히 지난 1993년 치과재료용 귀금속합금을 국내 최초로 미국 FDA에 등록하기도 했다.

정금량 대표는 부여군 내산면에서 중국음식점을 운영하면서 2014년부터 ‘사랑 나눔 짜장면 데이’를 마련, 지역 노인에게 무료로 짜장면을 대접하며 따뜻한 지역사회를 만들어 오고 있다.

최기복 원장은 2011년 충청효교육원을 설립해 2000여 명의 효 지도자를 양성했다.
 
최 원장은 또 2015년 충청창의인성교육원을 설립해 인성교육 강사 300명도 양성했으며, ‘덕향문학’을 발행해 지역 문인 양성과 문화·예술 발전에도 기여했다.
