앞으로 대전시 중앙로지하상가에 가면 다종·다수의 서비스로봇 활동을 볼 수 있게 됐다.

대전시는 8일 산업통상자원부 산하기관 한국로봇산업진흥원에서 시행하는 ‘2021년 AI·5G 기반 서비스로봇 융합모델 실증사업(시범)’공모에 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 대전시가 총괄감독 역할을 맡고, 대전테크노파크를 주관으로 ㈜트위니, ㈜도구공간, ㈜플레토로보틱스 등 지역의 로봇기업이 참여한다. (사)중앙로시하상가상인회가 장소를 제공하여 민․산․관이 협력하는 사업으로 추진하게 된다.

국비 9.1억 원, 시비 6억 원 그리고 민간에서 4억 원 등 총 19.1억원이 투입된다. 특히 이 사업은 중부권에서 최초로 AI·5G를 기반으로 대규모 거점에 다양한 로봇 활용모델을 실증하는 사업으로 2단계로 추진될 계획이다.

1단계는 올해 8월부터 2022년 3월까지, 2단계는 내년 4월부터 11월까지 약 16개월 동안 진행되며, 분야별 로봇 서비스 실증, DATA 수집․분석 및 활용방안 등을 과제를 수행한다. 

1단계에서는 5G통신 인프라와 통합관제 구축하며, ㈜트위니 자율주행 물류로봇 4대, ㈜도구공간 방역/순찰로봇 2대, ㈜플레토로보틱스 커피바리스타로봇 1대가 올 11월말까지 투입된다.

중앙로 지하상가 물류서비스와 야간 방역/순찰 서비스를 실증하며, 바리스타 로봇은 방문객들에게 커피를 제공한다.

2단계는 ㈜트위니 대상추종로봇 4대, ㈜도구공간 홍보/안내로봇 2대, ㈜플레토로보틱스 커피서빙로봇 2대가 내년 6월경 투입되어 한층 높은 로봇실증을 선보이게 될 예정이다.
