국회 세종의사당 설치를 위한 국회법 개정에 민·관·정이 한 목소리를 내고 나섰다.

 

세종시 국가균형발전지원센터(센터장 김수현)는 23일 오후 3시 세종시청 1층 행정수도 완성 홍보전시관에서 ‘국회의사당 설치를 위한 국회법 개정’을 촉구하는 ‘세종시 민·관·정 결의대회’를 가졌다.

 

이번 결의대회는 국회가 지난 4월 국회운영위원회 제도개선소위에서 국회법 개정안을 6월 임시회 중에 처리하기로 약속한 사항의 이행을 촉구하고자 마련됐다.

 

지난해 말 여·야 합의로 국회세종의사당 설계비 147억 원 전액을 확보했지만, 국회법 개정 논의 지연으로 반년이 넘게 집행을 하지 못하게 되면서 민·관·정이 합심해 강력한 의지 표명에 나선 것이다.

 

이날 결의대회에는 이춘희 세종시장, 이태환 세종시의회 의장을 비롯해 시민사회단체 대표, 주민자치회, 시민 등이 참석해 수도권 집중화와 지방소멸 문제 해소를 위한 국가균형발전 정책의 추진의지의 필요성을 강조했다.

 

시민대표로 참석한 효림스님, 정준이 지방분권세종회의 상임대표, 황치환 세종시민사회단체연대회의 공동대표, 안주성 세종시주민자치연합회 회장은 시민발언대에서 국회세종의사당 건립을 시작으로 국가균형발전을 선도해야 한다고 피력했다.
