대전시가 지난 해 5월 지역자본의 역외유출을 방지하고 코로나19로 어려움에 처한 소상공인과 자영업자를 지원하기 위해 조기 출시한 온통대전은 지난해 9천억원을 발행한데 이어 올 해에도 계획대비 40%를 초과달성하는 등 민생경제 브랜드로 자리매김했다.

 

대전시는 온통대전 출시 1주년을 맞아 지역화폐에 상생 플랫폼 역할을 추가한 업그레이드 정책을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.

 

온통대전은 대전형 긴급재난생계지원금과 한시생활지원금 등 약 1천6백억원의 정책발행을 통해 코로나19로 위축된 지역경기 회복에 든든한 버팀목이 되었다.

 

특히, 지난 해 11월 한달 간 대규모 소비촉진행사인 ‘온통세일’을 통해 1천6백억원이 발행되고, 행사 전주대비 소상공인 매출이 13% 향상되는 소비진작 성과를 기록했다.

 

지난 해 9월, 비대면 매출 지원을 위한 지역소상공인 전용 온라인몰인 ‘온통대전몰’과 낮은 중개수수료로 지역소상공인의 부담을 덜고 시민에게는 온통대전의 온라인사용을 지원하는 ‘온통대전 배달플랫폼’을 기획, 추진하여 단순한 결제기능을 넘어 경제플랫폼으로서의 역할도 수행하고 있다.

이는 원도심 비중이 높은 전통시장에서 온통대전 사용을 확대하기 위한 것으로, 관내 29개 전통시장 4,338개 점포에서 사용할 경우 추가 캐시백 3%를 지급할 예정이다.

 

아울러 일부 소상공인 지원 취지에 맞지 않는 골프장, 대학교 수업료 등 일부 업종은 온통대전 가맹에서 제외시킬 계획이다.

 

또 비대면 쇼핑 확대 등 유통환경 변화에 따른 온통대전 플랫폼 고도화도 더욱 강화된다.

 

이와 함께 소상공인 경영자금 100억 원을 별도로 배정하고 보증 수수료율을 낮추는 특례지원도 시행한다.
