[Daejeon City secured 10.4 billion won lottery fund...Sufficient support for the traffic-poor]

Daejeon City announced on the 6th that it has secured 10.394 billion won as a lottery fund from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, which will be used for the “Love Sharing Call Operation Project for the Transportation Weak” next year.
This is an increase of 1,72 million won, 20.6% from 8.62 billion won this year, and is the highest amount ever received from the Ministry of Strategy and Finance since 2017.
The Lottery Fund is a fund established to return the funds raised by the lottery project to society as a public service project in accordance with the Lottery and Lottery Fund Act enacted in 2004.

The Lottery Committee of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance conducts an annual “lottery fund project performance evaluation” to distribute the lottery funds. Daejeon City ranked third out of nine provinces in this year's performance evaluation for the traffic-poor.
The'Love Sharing Call Operation Project for the Traffic Deprived' is a project aimed at improving the quality of life by ensuring the right to move and promoting social participation for the vulnerable. With the lottery fund secured this time, Daejeon City will invest intensively in operating 96 wheelchair-only vehicles, 90 rental taxis among non-wheelchair vehicles, and 150 voucher taxis, so that the transportation disadvantaged can use it more safely and conveniently.

"We are looking forward to reducing the waiting time by introducing 10 additional special transportation vehicles this year," said Han Sun-hee, head of the Transportation Construction Bureau. .
