인스정보가 지난 3월중에 방문자(세션) 수에 의하면, 3월23일=304,598명, 3월24일=334,564명, 3월29일=334,386명, 3월30일=307,288명, 3월31일=302,043명이 방문, 1일 30만명 이상이 방문하는 대형 매체로 자리를 잡았습니다. 인스정보가 집계한 3월 중 본지의 총 방문자 수는 7,434,984명에 달합니다. 총 방문자 수 7,434,984명에 따른, 3월 중 총  페이지뷰(방문자가 정보를 열어보는 총 숫자)는 8.303.143 건(1일 평균 페이지뷰는 267.843)입니다.

 

인스(ins)정보 변창수 대표는 4월1일 본지와의 전화 통화에서 “브레이크뉴스의 월 총 페이지뷰는 8.303.143건이며, 1일 평균 페이지뷰는 267.843건”이라면서 “브레이크뉴스 방문자 수는 한국 인터넷신문 업계의 최상급 중의 하나에 속한다”고 말했습니다. 변창수 대표는 “4월초, 브레이크뉴스 편집 웹 프로그램의 업그레이드가 단행된다. 편집기능 업그레이드가 완료되면, 첨단 웹 프로그램이 장착되어 더욱 더 세계적인 첨단 인터넷 신문 반열에 오르게 된다”고 말했습니다.

 

브레이크뉴스는 지난 2020년 9월28일부터 '구글번역'을 활용, 브레이크뉴스에 게재되는 뉴스와 정보를 영문으로 번역, 게재해왔습니다. 한글로 작성된 뉴스와 정보를 영어로 전문을 번역-게재함으로써 글로벌 매체가 되도록 노력을 기울여 왔습니다.

 

필자는 지난 2월18일자 “'구글번역' 적극 활용...대한민국을 문화선진국으로 만들어갑시다!” 제목의 글에서 “대한민국이 국제적인 뉴스-정보전에서 선진국으로 도약하려면, 영문 콘텐츠의 다량 생산이 불가피해졌습니다. 또한 대한민국의 영향력을 높이려면 영문 스토리 만들기 캠페인이 필요합니다”고 피력하면서 “원래, 뉴스나 정보의 수효가 늘어나면 자연스럽게 스토리(story)가 만들어질 수 있습니다.

 

뉴스에는 반드시 뉴스 스토리(news story)가 있습니다. 대한민국에서 생산된 대다수의 뉴스나 정보가 영문으로 번역되어 구글 등 유명 포털 속에 안장(安藏) 된다면, 세계인들의 선(先) 검색대상이 될 것이고, 이로 인하여 대한민국이 정보의 선진 국가로 변환(變換)될 수 있다고 봅니다. 이때, 국제화된 대한민국의 뉴스-정보 소토리가 만들어지는 것입니다. 이로 인하여, 대한민국의 우수한 문화국가 이미지 스토리가 만들어 졌으면 하는 바람입니다”고, 주장한 바 있습니다.

 

그리고 “본지의 시도(구글번역을 활용한 영문번역)가 “한글콘텐츠의 세계화”에 기여하고 있다고 자부(自負)합니다. 필자가 한글 스토리(뉴스-정보-작품 등)를, '구글번역'을 이용, 영어로 바꾸어놓기 캠페인을 벌이는 목적입니다“고 덧붙였습니다.”라고 강조했습니다. 또한 “”라고 덧붙였습니다.
