충남도 보건환경연구원에 따르면 올 2월 들어 도내에서 총 7차례 초미세먼지 주의보가 발령됐다.

이에따라 충남보건환경연구원은 빈번하게 발생하는 고농도 미세먼지에 대비, 실외활동 자제 등 국민행동요령 준수를 당부했다.

미세먼지는 국외에서 대부분 유입됐고, 대기 정체로 인해 충청권과 수도권에 집중적으로 발생, 장기간 지속되는 양상을 보였다.

보건환경연구원은 고농도 미세먼지 발생에 대비해 ‘충남형 대기질분석진단시스템’을 활용, 발생 72시간 전 예측자료를 시군에 통보하고 있다.  
 
이는 지난해 고도화사업을 완료한 데 따른 것으로, 충남권역을 세분화해 정밀하게 예측 분석이 가능해졌다.

이와 별개로 미세먼지주의보 안내는 시·군, 교육청, 경찰청, 언론기관 등 39개 기관 FAX 전송하고, 건강피해 예방을 위해 문자 알림 서비스를 실시하고 있다.
