대전시가 18일 오전‘대전광역시 외국인주민 통합지원센터’를 조성하고 개소식을 가졌다.

외국인주민의 지역사회 조기정착과 안정적 생활지원을 위한 센터 개소식은 이날 오전 10시 정동 소재 하나은행 대전역전지점 2층 외국인주민 통합지원센터에서 허태정 대전시장과 권중순 대전시의회 의장, 유미 사회서비스원 대표이사, 외국인 시정참여회의 위원 등이 참석한 가운데 현판제막식 등 주요행사가 개최됐다.

대전시는 지역 내 가파르게 증가하고 있는 외국인주민의 복지서비스 수요에 적극 대응하기 위해 외국인주민 통합지원센터 설립을 민선7기 시민과의 약속사업으로 선정하고 추진해 왔다.
