지난해 코로나19로 국내·외 경제가 얼어붙은 상황 속에서도 충남도 내에 새롭게 터를 잡은 기업 중 공장을 준공하고 가동을 시작한 업체가 752개로 집계됐다고 충남도가 밝혔다.
752개사 투자·유치는 2019년 749개 기업보다 3개 늘어난 것이자, 2015년 770개 이후 가장 많은 규모로, 작년 신규 준공·가동 기업을 시·군별로 보면, 천안이 275개로 가장 많고, 아산 193개, 당진 71개, 금산 54개, 예산 32개로 뒤를 이었다.
업종별로는 조립금속기계 195개, 전기전자통신 126개, 식품 80개, 석유화학 55개, 비금속 54개 등의 순이다.
충남도는 기업 유치 활성화와 역외유출 최소화를 위해 도외 소재 기업이 공장과 더불어 본사를 이전할 경우, 설비 투자 금액의 10% 범위 내에서 추가로 지원 중이고, 수도권 이전기업의 이주 직원을 대상으로는 개인 당 150만 원, 세대 당 1000만 원을 지원하고 있다.
그러나 752개 기업의 총 고용 인원은 1만 3148명, 투자 금액은 3조 2247억 원, 수도권 이전기업은 15개로, 전년에 비해 다소 하락했다.

By industry, 195 assembled metal machines, 126 electric and electronic communications, 80 food, 55 petrochemicals, 54 non-metals, and so on.
Chungnam-do is providing additional support within 10% of the facility investment amount when companies located outside the province relocate their headquarters together with their factories in order to revitalize business attraction and minimize outflow.
In addition, 1.5 million won per individual and 10 million won per household are provided to migrant employees of relocated companies in the metropolitan area.
However, the total number of employees employed by 752 companies was 13,148 people, the amount of investment was 3,224.7 billion won, and the number of companies relocated to the metropolitan area was 15, down slightly from the previous year.
