세종시가 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)등 감염병 전파 차단을 위해 올해 감염병 전담부서를 신설 한다고 밝혔다.

19일 세종시 남궁호 보건복지국장은 시청 정음실에서 비대면 정례브리핑을 열고 감염병 전담부서 신설 등이 포함된 새해 보건복지국 주요업무 계획을 발표했다.

남궁 국장은 이날 감염병 확산을 차단하기 위한 감염병 전담부서를 신설하고, 전문가로 구성된 감염병 관리 지원단을 운영하기로 했다고 밝혔다.

남궁 국장에 따르면 세종시는 연중 24시간 감염병 기동감시체계를 유지하는 한편 감염병 예방 감시체계도 함께 구축한다는 계획이다.
