충남도가 ‘바다 위 종합병원’으로 불리는 병원선을 새롭게 건조하기 위한 준비 작업에 착수했다고 밝혔다.

 

8일 도청에서 ‘병원선 충남501호 대체건조 기본 및 실시설계 용역’ 착수보고회를 개최한 충청남도는 현 병원선 노후화에 따른 대체 병원선 건조 첫발을 떼었다.

 

충청남도에 따르면 현재 운영 중인 병원선 충남 501호는 2001년 2월 건조돼 20년 동안 섬 지역민들의 건강지킴이 역할을 수행했을 뿐 아니라, 6개 시군 31개 도서지역을 순회, 3600여 주민(지난해 진료실적 9338명)의 건강을 지켰다.
