며칠 전 국내 제약회사에서 식품의약품안전처에 코로나19 항체치료제 조건부 허가를 신청해 1월중 치료제가 보급될 것이라는 희망이 퍼지고 있기 때문입니다.
새봄부터는 국민 대다수가 백신을 맞을 것으로 전망되기에 오랫동안 끈질기게 우리를 괴롭혔던 코로나의 긴 터널에서 나와 일상회복의 본격적인 출발점에 섰습니다.
지난 한해를 돌아보면 격변의 위기속에서 고군분투했지만, 빠르게 다가온 미래를 준비하며 혁신을 거듭한 기회의 시간이었습니다.
급속한 기술발전과 함께 생존을 위해 사회적 연대의 중요성에 대한 인식이 싹튼 것 역시 코로나가 만들어 낸 의미있는 변화 중 하나입니다.

올 한해 동안 많은 변화가 예견되는 만큼 코로나19가 가져올 위기를 구정혁신을 위한 기회로 삼아 대비를 해야겠습니다.
이러한 의미를 담아 올해의 구정운영방향을 담은 사자성어를 이환위리(以患爲利)로 정했습니다.
고난과 장애를 전화위복의 기회로 삼는다는 말로 코로나19가 가져온 미증유의 위기를 구정혁신을 위한 기회로 삼아 지역발전을 가속화 하겠다는 의지를 담았습니다.
새해에는 더욱 특별한 각오로 코로나 극복 원년을 힘차게 열어나가겠다는 약속을 드리며, 분야별로 구정운영방향에 대해 말씀드리겠습니다.
먼저, 주민의 삶을 지키고 고통의 무게를 우리 사회가 함께 나누는 데 힘을 모으겠습니다.
치료제와 백신이 나오기 직전인 지금, 우리는 코로나와 최후의 전투를 치르고 있습니다.

아울러, 공동육아나눔터 운영과 초등 방과 후 온종일 돌봄체계 구축으로 육아의 부담을 해소하며 함께 돌보고 기쁨도 나누는 안정적인 양육환경을 만들겠습니다.
둘째, 실질적 자치분권 구현을 위한 기반을 강화하여 자치구 경쟁력을 높이겠습니다.
지난 12월, 지방자치법이 32년만에 전면적으로 개정되어 자치분권 확대를 위한 새로운 전기가 마련되었습니다.
드라이브 스루 선별진료 등 주민 접점에서의 실험과 혁신이 중앙에까지 파급되는 현실이 반영된 환영할 일입니다.
지방정부와 중앙정부가 협력적 동반자 관계로 발전하는 시대적 흐름에 부응하면서 우리지역 특성에 맞는 주민자치를 꽃피워야 하겠습니다.
3개동에서 시범운영되었던 주민자치회가 주민들의 많은 관심 속에서 주민대표기구이자 생활자치의 중심으로 자리매김하고 있습니다.
