세종시의회 온라인 의회교실 개최...초등학생 체험 호응
지난 10월 16일 실시한 세종시의회 ‘청소년 온라인 의회교실’에 이어 17일 개최한 ‘찾아가는 온라인 의회교실’에 도담초등학교 4학년  학생들이 참여해 의회교실을 진행했다.

 

세종시의회는 올해 초 열린 의회 실현을 위해 관내 학교를 직접 찾아가는 능동적 개념의 ‘찾아가는 의회교실’을 기획했으나 코로나19의 장기화로 인해 온라인 화상회의 플랫폼을 활용한 ‘온라인 의회교실’을 운영하게 됐다.

 

이날 의회교실 1부에서는 이순열 의원(도담‧어진동)이 ‘민주주의의 시작인 주민 참여와 주민자치’라는 주제로 의회 기능과 의원의 역할에 대해 학생들로부터 질문을 받고 답변하는 시간을 가졌다.

2부에서는 스피치 전문 강사가 ‘효과적인 발표문 작성과 스피치 꿀팁’이라는 주제로 온라인 특강을 진행했다.

 

학생들은 일일 시의원 체험 교육프로그램의 일환으로 진행한 모의 본회의에서 ‘담배 연기 없는 세종시를 만들기 위한 조례안’을 통과시키는 등 이날 배운 내용을 토대로 의사 결정 과정을 체험해봤다.

 

특히 이날 행사에 참여한 이순열 의원은 실시간 라이브 중계를 통해 본회의장과 의원실 내부를 직접 소개하는 시간을 가졌다.
