[Jung-gu, Daejeon, was recognized as a “finding a bereaved family” for the Korean War warrior]

Jung-gu, Daejeon, which promoted the “6.25 warrior family gene search support project,” which is a sublime national patriot veteran project that finds the remains of veterans and enlists them at the National Cemetery, has been selected as an excellent institution for the search for bereaved families.

Jung-gu, which was selected as an excellent administrative agency for the search for bereaved families of June 25 warriors promoted by the Ministry of National Defense in 2019, actively cooperated with the issuance of civil petition documents, such as a copy of expulsion, so that at the time of June 25, the warriors with their home or address in Jung-gu could find their families. As a result, the DNA of the surviving family of 36 people was collected and helped to take over the 20 dead to the family's arms.

The Ministry of Defense's Hazardous Discovery Team expressed appreciation to the Jung-gu Office for its support for the successful promotion of the project.

Commissioner Park Yong-gap said, "We pay our respects to the veterans who have dedicated themselves to freedom and peace in Korea, and will continue to actively cooperate in the search for bereaved families."
