충남교육청은 5일과 6일 소프트웨어(SW)교육 선도학교 117명이 참석한 가운데 ‘선도학교 우수사례 확산과 연찬회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
충남교육청은 2015년부터 학교 중심의 SW교육 활성화를 위해 선도학교를 매년 확대 운영하고 있다. 올해는 한 단계 나아가 인공지능(AI)교육 시범운영을 통해 초·중등 AI교육 기반을 마련하였다.
SW교육 선도학교는 교과, 창의적 체험활동, 자유학기, 학생동아리 활동 시간에 프로그램을 운영한다.
또한 학부모 대상 특강, 수업 공개 등을 통해 SW교육 활성화 거점 역할도 수행하고 있다.
특히 AI교육 시범학교는 교육청에서 개발한 AI 도움자료를 실제 적용해 보고, 교육과정과 접목한 다양한 AI교육 프로그램을 개발하고 있다.
이번 행사에서는 한국교육학술정보원(KERIS) 김진숙 수석연구원의 ‘SW교육의 성과와 나아갈 방향’에 대한 특강을 통해 충남 SW교육의 발전 방향을 논의하였다. 더불어 AI교육 시범학교의 운영 사례 발표를 통해 학교 현장에 적합한 AI교육 교수학습 방법에 대한 토론도 이어갔다.
