대전시의회 김인식 의원(더불어민주당, 서구 3)이 28일 시의회에서‘코로나위기 극복을 위한 학생 돌봄 안전망 구축 정책간담회’를 개최했다.


이번 간담회는 대전시의 학생 돌봄 안전망에 대한 진단을 통해 공적 돌봄 시스템 운영 실태를 점검하고 ‘돌봄의 주체를 어디로 할 것이냐?’하는 문제에 대한 각 주체들의 의견 공유와 향후 지역사회 돌봄체계 구축을 위한 과제 도출을 위해 마련됐다.
 
토론회를 주관한 김인식 의원은 “이번 간담회가 코로나19로 학생 돌봄 공백이 커지는 상황에서 안전, 아동학대, 학력저하, 학교 기피 등 학생들을 위협하는 문제들에 대해 교육현장의 의견을 청취하는 계기가 되었다”며, “안정적인 돌봄 체계가 부족한 상황에서 돌봄 수요에 대한 대응이 교육기관만이 아닌 지역사회가 함께 해결점을 찾아야 한다는 점과 ‘돌봄의 질’, ‘학부모의 요구’, ‘학생을 위한 돌봄’이라는 원칙에 따라 대전광역시의회 차원의 지원 방안을 지속적으로 모색하겠다”고 말했다.
