대전 동구가 대전지역에서는 처음으로 장애인복지시설에 첨단 화재예방시스템 구축에 나선다.

이를 위해 동구는 27일 구청에서 안전시스템 IT벤처기업 ㈜에프에스와 IoT(사물인터넷) 기반 스마트 전기화재 예방시스템 구축을 위한 협약식을 개최했다.
 

이날 협약식에서 동구와 ㈜에프에스는 안전사고에 취약한 장애인복지시설의 전기 안전사고 예방을 위해 IoT를 기반으로 하는 첨단 전기화재 예방시스템을 구축을 약속했다.
 

동구는 전기화재 예방시스템을 동구 지역 장애인복지시설 7개소에 우선적으로 시범 설치할 계획이며 ㈜에프에스는 2년간 전기화재 예방시스템의 무상 설치와 유지보수 관리를 지원한다.
 

또, 동구는 전기화재 예방시스템을 향후 동구 사회복지시설 전체로 확대 추진할 예정이다.
 

황인호 동구청장은 “이번 협약식을 계기로 사고 예방을 위해 동구 지역 장애인복지시설의 취약 전기 안전시설을 다시 한번 점검하도록 하겠다”며 ”사물인터넷을 활용한 첨단 전기화재 예방시스템 구축으로 동구가 장애인시설의 재산권 보호 등 선도적 역할에 앞장서 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
