지난해 대전에서 교통사고가 가장 많이 발생한 지역 10개 지점 가운데 서구가 7곳, 유성구 2곳, 동구 1곳으로 나타났다.

이들 가운데 서구 둔산동 향촌우편취급소 북쪽 사거리가 92건으로 가장 많은 교통사고가 발생했고, 갈마네거리(갈마1동주민센터)가 81건, 대전일보 북쪽 사거리 65건으로 그 뒤를 이었다.

유성구에서는 덕명네거리 덕송초등학교 부근이 56건으로 가장 많은 사고가 발생했고, 동구에서는 도시철도 판암역 3번 출구 서쪽 사거리가 35건이 발생 한 것으로 나타났다.
