우리는 어머니 배속에서 잉태되는 순간부터 생을 마감할 때까지 ‘시간과 공간’의 영향을 받으며 살아가듯 운명을 결정하는 사주팔자 시공간은 우리가 어떤 인생을 살아갈지를 알려주는 나침반 역할을 합니다. 

오늘 첫 칼럼에서는 ‘자학하는 남성’의 사주팔자를 통하여 生氣(생기)의 중요성을 알아보고자 합니다. 사주 天干은 丙丙戊癸로 매우 화려하고 申月에 물질을 추구하는 성향이 강합니다. 또 丙火와 戊癸 合은 화려한 색채를 드러내기에 외부에 자신의 존재를 드러내는 것을 매우 중시합니다.

다만, 년과 월의 丙寅과 丙申은 寅木이 申金에 沖으로 심하게 상할 수 있습니다. 먼저 丙火가 水氣를 말리면 寅木이 生氣를 상실하고 申金은 점점 날카로워져 寅木을 沖하면 우울증, 정신분열, 공황장애, 자학 등과 같은 문제가 발생하는 사례가 매우 많습니다.   

사주팔자에 드러난 木氣는 혈액과 같아서 피를 나르는 중대한 역할을 담당하는데 심장을 상징하는 丙丁 火氣와 연결되면 흐름이 막하지 않아야 합니다. 만약 이 사주처럼 申金이 중간에 끼어들어서 木火의 흐름을 방해하면 심장(火)으로 공급되는 피가 막히면서 정신병이 발생할 수 있습니다.

일간 癸水가 유일하게 寅卯 木氣에 생명수를 공급하지만 戊戌대운(14세)에 戊癸 合으로 묶이면서 계수가 적절한 역할을 하지 못하자 申金이 더욱 날카로워져 寅卯 木氣를 공격하기에 피의 흐름이 막히고 정신에 영향을 미치면서 이상행동을 하게 됩니다.    

갑자기 가출하고 학교에서 폭력을 행사하고 심지어 존속폭행 하다가 결국 정신병원에 입원하였습니다. 이처럼 金氣가 날카로워지고 木氣를 공격하는 사주구조들은 경찰, 군인, 용병, 운동선수와 같은 특수 직업에 종사하면 폭력성을 오히려 공적으로 활용하기에 긍정적입니다.

이 사주 당사자도 고교 시절에 음악을 전공하다가 갑자기 경찰행정학과로 진학하고 특수부대에서 군 복무를 마치고 경찰간부 후보생 시험을 준비하게 되었습니다. 하지만 안타깝게도 시험에서 계속 실패하자 알코올중독과 조현병에 빠져들었습니다. 사주원국의 수많은 火氣들이 주전자 물을 끓이듯 일간 癸水를 증발시키면 자아를 상실하고 정신분열을 일으키기에 정신안정을 취하고자 술을 찾으면서 알코올에 중독된 것입니다.

특히 사주팔자의 화려함이 오히려 독이 된 사례로, 음악을 전공하던 고교 시절에는 화려함을 추구하면서 타인의 시선으로 자존감을 충족하였고 경찰행정학과 진학, 특수부대에서의 군복무로 존재감을 외부에 드러내는 방식으로 사주팔자에 드러난 욕구를 충족하였습니다.   

하지만 시험에 합격하지 못하자, 자신의 자존심과 현실의 괴리에서 타협하지 못하고 안타깝게도 인생을 포기하는 지경에 이르렀습니다. 만약 자존심과 욕구를 내려놓고 타인을 위한 예술가가 되거나 직급이 낮은 경찰에 도전했다면 고통의 늪에서 허우적거리지 않았을 것입니다. 

그에게도 가족들의 따뜻한 조언이 있었지만 모두 거부하였고 자신을 무시한다는 ‘망상과 분노’로 점철된 삶을 선택했기에 아쉬울 따름입니다. 어쩌면 ‘내려놓음의 미학’이 그에게는 가장 절실했었는지도 모를 일입니다.
