대전 동구가 개학기를 맞아 어린이들이 자주 이용하는 학교 주변의 식품 안전 확보와 안심 구매 환경 조성을 위해 대대적인 집중점검에 나선다.

동구는 학교 주변 어린이 기호식품 조리·판매업소 69곳과 최근 늘어난 무인식품판매점 34곳 등 총 103곳을 대상으로 위생 관리 실태와 식품 안전성 점검을 추진한다고 4일 밝혔다. 이번 점검은 면역력이 약한 어린이들에게 유해한 식품 노출을 차단하고 먹거리 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 마련됐다.

점검에는 어린이 기호식품 전담관리원 등 8명이 참여하며, 식품 안전을 위협하는 핵심 요소를 집중적으로 점검한다. 주요 점검 사항은 소비기한 경과 제품 사용·조리·보관 여부 ,돈·화투·술병 모양 등 어린이의 건전한 정서를 해치는 식품 판매 여부 ,조리 종사자의 위생 상태 ,조리시설 및 판매 환경의 위생적 관리 등이다.

특히 구는 단순 현장 지도에 그치지 않고 어린이 기호식품에 대한 수거검사를 병행하여 식품 안전성을 다각도로 검증할 방침이다. 점검 결과 적발된 위반사항에 대해서는 행정처분과 함께 개선 여부를 지속 확인해 위해 요소 발생을 차단한다.
