대전 중구의회 이정수 의원이 주민들의 목소리를 의정활동에 적극 수렴하고 직접 참여를 확대하기 위한 제도적 기반 마련에 나섰다.

이정수 의원은 지난 1일 개회한 제275회 제1차 정례회에서 '대전광역시 중구의회 의정모니터단 구성 및 운영 조례안'을 대표 발의했다. 이번 조례안은 주민과의 소통을 강화하고 구민의 뜻이 반영되는 열린 의정을 구현하기 위해 추진됐다.

조례안에는  의정활동에 필요한 다양한 제안 구정 발전 및 주민 불편 사항 건의 ,불합리한 예산 집행 사례에 대한 시정 및 제도 개선 요구 ,의회 회의 방청 및 의정활동 홍보 등 주민 생활과 밀접한 모니터단 운영 규정이 담겼다.

이정수 의원은 “이번 조례안 제정을 통해 주민들이 일상생활 속에서 경험하는 불편 사항과 제도 개선 요구를 의회에 직접 전달할 수 있는 공식적인 통로가 구축될 것”이라며 “의정모니터단이 주민과 의회를 긴밀하게 이어주는 교징 역할을 충실히 수행해 주길 기대한다”고 강조했다.

한편, 이 의원이 발의한 이번 조례안은 4일 상임위원회 심사를 거쳐 오는 7일 열리는 제2차 본회의에서 최종 의결될 예정이다.
