충남 서산시가 행정 환경 변화에 맞춰 읍면동 행정복지센터의 당직 근무 방식을 대대적으로 개편한다.

앞서 서산시는 지난 9월 1일부터 대산읍, 성연면, 음암면, 수석동 등 4개 읍면동을 대상으로 ‘재택 당직 제도’를 오는 10월 31일까지 두 달간 시범 운영하고 있다고 4일 밝혔다. 

이들 지정 읍면동은 기존처럼 청사 내에 상주하며 대기하던 당직 근무 형태에서 벗어나, 평일과 휴일 구분 없이 모두 재택 근무 방식으로 비상 연락망을 유지하게 된다.

그동안 읍면동 당직자들은 평일 야간(오후 6시~9시)과 주말·공휴일 낮 시간대(오전 9시~오후 6시)에 청사를 지킨 뒤 남은 시간 동안 재택 당직을 수행해 왔다. 

그러나 무인 경비 시스템 정착과 시청 재난안전상황실의 24시간 운영 등으로 읍면동 청사 대기 당직의 효율성이 떨어진다는 지적이 이어져 왔다.

당진시는 시범 운영 기간 동안 비상 연락망 작동 여부와 현장 대응 체계 등 빈틈없는 대응 프로세스를 점검하고, 발생하는 보완점을 개선할 방침이다. 이어 현장 의견 수렴과 운영 규정 정비를 거쳐 오는 2027년부터 관내 모든 읍면동으로 재택 당직제를 전면 확대할 계획이다.

Dangjin City plans to inspect the operation of emergency contact networks and on-site response systems during the pilot period to ensure a seamless response process, and to address any shortcomings identified.
