대전동부교육지원청 학습종합클리닉센터가 관내 학생들의 학습 저해 요인을 다각도로 진단하고 맞춤형 공부법을 찾아주기 위한 현장 지원에 나선다. 동부교육지원청은 9월 중 관내 초·중학교 학생 235명을 대상으로 ‘학습표준화검사’를 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 검사는 전문 상담사와 학습 코치가 직접 학교를 방문해 검사를 시행하고, 결과 산출 후 정밀 분석과 일대일 맞춤형 해석 상담까지 통합 제공하는 방식으로 이뤄진다. 각 학교는 학생들의 상황과 필요에 따라 ‘MLST-II 학습전략검사’와 ‘WISE 학습종합검사’ 중 하나를 선택해 맞춤형으로 검사를 실시한다.

학생들은 검사를 통해 성적과 동기에 영향을 미치는 심리·환경적 요인을 다각도로 살피고, 자신의 학습상 강점과 약점을 객관적으로 파악하게 된다. 이를 통해 자신에게 적합한 공부 전략을 다듬어 올바른 자기주도적 학습 습관을 다질 것으로 기대된다. 센터 측은 배움에 어려움을 겪던 학생들이 학습 흥미와 자신감을 회복하는 실질적인 계기가 될 것으로 보고 있다.
